OK, so this has been a major, pain-in-the-ass-update but things are basically working.

You will find errors, probably.

Known errors I don’t need you to report:

  • Photos on the social wall and groups are missing. I'm still trying to figure that out, so don't worry about it.
  • Your avatars are gone, too. Sorry about that. Upload new ones.
  • Some of you may be missing old private messages. Also not fixable, can't be helped.

Errors you please should report include:

  • Anything where you see an error message that mentions "SQL"
  • A link that is broken from a clickable menu or entry on the site. So, if a link you find on Google is broken, don't report it. If a link on Amaz0ns leads to a 404 page, please report it.
To report an error, please provide the URL and either a screen grab attachment of the page or copy/paste the error message into the message.

OK, I’ve got most of the social wall group photos and personal photos working again.

Also, the site isn’t sending email right now so you’ll have to wait a day or two if you need a password refresh.

Will do. But I have to say, some of the best parts of the Amazon updates are reading the status updates.

“Should have the website up by monday or tuesday.”

“Should have the website up on monday Tuesday.”

“Okay, that was a real pain in the ass, maybe Thursday.”

“Just check back Saturday.”

Site updates are a major pain, especially stuff like Joomla. Thanks for the effort

anybody else have problems posting. every post i make with pics now it takes several minutes and then it gives me an error saying host is off line. the last post i just did it actually logged me off and i had to go off site and come back on to re log in. it does my posts but it always takes a long while and gives errors. i do like the new format and i know you worked very hard to get the site up. just wanted to pass this along. thanks.

The only issue I’m having is that when I press SUBMIT. The post never goes through on my end, but if I were to refresh to page it’s actually posted. So basically it stays in an infinite connecting purgatory. Thankfully, I’ve been on enough forums to know that pressing submit once is more than enough.

yes that is the problem i have had. i only hit submit once but i haven’t refreshed page. so thanks for the tip.

I’ve had a similar problem, although my messages get posted several times even though I’m not hitting refresh. I also saw an SMTP error at the top, sent a screencap to lingster.

Edit: Of course this post when through flawlessly.

Been noticing the same problem w/ the SMTP error at the top, seems to be a recent development.

I’ve noticed two problems w/ ppl (myself included) using the Boardcode HTML feature w/ video clips and now, website URLs

If you use the [ video ] [ /video ] or [ url ] [ /url ] the provided link will not appear in either case.

Just plain posting the video-clip link or the website URL w/o the code seems to work.

By constrast, w/ pictures using the Boardcode HTML feature [ img ] [ /img ] I’ve not ran into any problems.

OK, that should be working again, at least for new Tweets. I totally forgot about that.

I think “Profile Cover” images are working again, so you can set those for your profiles if you like.
